go viatag is the cheapest way to pay for your toll:

You simply attach the small go viatag to the inside of your vehicle's windscreen. As your vehicle travels under the toll point the go viatag will beep once, which means that the toll has been deducted from your account.
How to attach your tag to your vehicle
- open your go viatag pack
- clean the windscreen (where it will be attached) with the cloth supplied
- position the tag on the windscreen. This differs between cars and trucks (see below for a further explanation)
- attach the tag to the windscreen. Simply remove the adhesive tape and attach the tag to the correct position
Cars Position the tag directly behind the rear view mirror below any tinted sunscreen area.
Trucks Position the tag vertically with the holder at the bottom. Place this at the base of the windscreen inline with the rear view mirror. For trucks with split windscreens, place the tag to the left of the join - not behind it - and above the windscreen wipers.
Note: To ensure the tag signal is accurately detected and your account is debited correctly, the tag must be fitted at the optimum height and correct angle on the inside of your windscreen and never handheld.

Your go viatag is provided with pre-determined data, to match your individual vehicle's details. The go viatag will make different sequences of beeping noises as you pass under a toll point to assist you in managing your account effectively and ensuring your account maintains a credit balance.

1 beep followed by 2 beeps
The toll has been successfully paid and you have reached your low balance warning.
If you have a manual top-up arrangement, you will need to add credit to your account (a $1.03 manual top-up fee will apply). If you have an automatic top-up, we will take your nominated top-up increment from your specified account free of charge.
4 beeps
Please discontinue using your tag and contact us immediately. If you continue to use your tag, you may incur administration fees.
go viatag account holders are required to ensure their account has a credit balance. If you listen and follow your tag's beeps, you can enjoy hassle-free travel.

If you wish to use cash to make your initial payment of $25 in prepaid tolls you will need to visit one of our Customer Service Centres or a participating go via retailer using a go via account card. If you do not have a go via account card, please call 1 3000 GO VIA (1 3000 46 842) to arrange for your card to be issued.
