Fees – account customers

Account customers include those who have either a go viatag account or a go viavideo account.

Some fees and charges may apply, however you can avoid these by:

  • choosing a go viatag account
  • selecting an automatic account top-up
  • managing your account online

The following fees may apply to account customers.

The $0.41 video matching fee per toll point is necessary to recover the system costs specifically incurred in undertaking the video matching process.

Video matching fee (applies only to motorists without a tag)

  • motorcyclists who have a go via account will be exempt from the video matching fee
  • go viatag customers must have a tag present in their vehicle when travelling under a toll point to avoid paying the $0.41 video matching fee per toll point

Mailed statement fee

As we strive towards sustainable business operations we endeavour to minimise the use of paper-based statements.

From July statements are available online free of charge. However, if you wish to receive it by mail please contact us. A $3.09 mailed statement fee will apply.

Manual top-up fee

Queensland Motorways encourages account customers to establish an automatic top-up, free of charge, to ensure that their accounts are always in credit. However, if you choose to manually boost the credit level of your account, a $1.03 manual top-up fee will apply.

You can manually top-up your account:

  • online
  • over the phone or
  • by visiting one of our Customer Service Centres or at a participating go via retailer

If you wish to pay cash for your manual top-up at a customer service centre or a participating go via retailer, you will need a go via account card. If you are an existing customer and do not have a go via account card, please call 1 3000 GO VIA (1 3000 46 842) to arrange to have your card issued.

Queensland Motorways has a toll compliance process in place and endeavours to be fair and reasonable when dealing with non payment of tolls. Our non payment fees cover the administrative costs involved in recovering tolls.

Non payment fees

If you have insufficient credit on your account to pay the toll, an administration charge will be incurred for costs associated with the recovery of unpaid tolls.
