The $34 million Paradise Road Interchange opened to traffic on Monday 12 March 2007.
Design and construction of the interchange was through an alliance method involving:
- Queensland Motorways, Owner and Project Manager
- BMD Major Projects, Project Management and Construction
- Maunsell Australia Pty Ltd, Project Design and Engineering
The Paradise Road Interchange connects the Logan Motorway and Paradise Road in all directions. It was a vital infrastructure development designed to cater for the projected growth in local and freight traffic in the Larapinta area, as identified in the State Government's South East Queensland Regional Plan (2005-2006). This plan facilitated the need for the delivery of suitable infrastructure to support the major industrial developments scheduled for the area.
The Paradise Road Interchange was our first toll plaza in Queensland that was unmanned.
